Saturday 4 July will see the traditional “Sabo Grando”, which marks the start of the celebrations for the “Perdòn di Barbana” pilgrimage on Sunday 5 July
The history of the ‘Perdòn di Barbana’ pilgrimage, on the other hand, dates back as far as 1237, when Grado was spared from a terrible plague. Every year, on the first Sunday in July, a picturesque procession of boats decorated with flags and garlands moves makes its way across the lagoon from Grado to Barbana.

Friday 3 July at 6.00 pm the featured guest at the “Books and Authors in Grado” festival will be Andrea Nagele, an Austrian writer who has chosen
The author will present *Grado e i brividi del passato* (Grado and the Thrills of the Past), her first book published by Gaspari.
A new feature of this edition will be the bilingual hosting of the event, in Italian and German, by Christian Puswald, a lawyer from Trieste: a decision that enriches the programme, making it accessible to the many German-speaking tourists in the area.
On Saturday 4 July, at 6.00 pm , the renowned Gianni Oliva will return to Grado to present his essay *La prima guerra civile* (Mondadori).
A work which offers an interpretation of the events that which have accompanied the construction of a united Italy, highlighting the a14> contradictions and conflicts often overlooked by the traditional narrative narrative.
The historian and publisher Paolo Gaspari will be in conversation with him.

Friday 26 June: Springsteen – Free Me from nothing (Biographical/Musical/Drama, USA, 2025, directed by Scott Cooper)
The film takes the audience on an intimate journey through Bruce Springsteen’s life, alternating between childhood memories and pivotal moments in his artistic career.
Running time of the film: 120 minutes; there is no intermission. During the screening, you will still be able to visit the beach club’s bar, which will be open.
The event is free, but the number of headsets for multilingual viewing in Italian, German and English is limited (200 sets)
