Grado Green Live

Saturday 26 September from 10.00 am, Grado Green Live returns with a new event dedicated to protecting the region, sustainability and raising awareness of environmental issues.

 

At the Lido delle Conchiglie in Fossalon, participants will take part in a day of litter picking, accompanied this time by live music.

Before the session begins, Andrea Guaran, Professor of Geography at the University of Udine and scientific coordinator of the Zero Waste project, and Federico Venturini, who holds a PhD in Human Geography and is a researcher on the project, will give a brief introduction focusing on the themes of sustainability and waste reduction.

 

All participants will be provided with the equipment needed to carry out the collection safely.

Opening of Casa Spina in the Reserve of the Valle Cavanata

Venerdì 18 settembre, dalle ore 10:30 alle 15:30 saranno aperti ai visitatori i cancelli by Casa Spina.

 

This fascinating area, usually closed to the public, once represented the heart of the valley farming activities.

The building currently used as a Visitors’ Centre was in the past the home of the managers of the valley.

 

In this unique setting, you can admire a small stretch of natural beach and a wetland forest, and enjoy birdwatching from the screens that shield the fishing valley, which is now home to numerous species of birds.

 

Please note: Staff from the Rogos Cooperative will be on hand to welcome you and provide you with all the information you need to ensure your visit is as environmentally friendly as possible.

 

Admission is open to all and free of charge!

 

The area can only be accessed on foot or by bicycle.

You can park your cars in the lay-by at the end of the dirt track BEFORE the first gate (45°42’17.8″N 13°28’56.3″E)
